We understand that allied health services can be expensive. Therefore, The Speech Guy & Co. believes in pricing transparency, and offering rates that are in line with the industry standard. Please note that these rates will remain the same regardless of your funding source.

Hourly Rate

The following services are charged at $193.99/hour:

  • Direct speech pathology sessions –  assessment, intervention, therapy, telehealth, education or consultation
  • Indirect services, including:
    • Report writing
    • Clinical communication/liaison – e.g. phone/email correspondence with client, carers, service providers, or other stakeholders)
    • Session preparation/resource development
    • Clinical documentation

Travel

A flat travel rate of $96.99 is charged for all individual sessions (home visits/community based appointments).

FOR NDIS PLAN-MANAGED CLIENTS – In line with the updated NDIA pricing limits (2025-26), travel will now be charged at a flat rate of $48.50 per home or community-based appointment. An additional return travel fee of $48.50 may also apply.

Group Therapy Sessions

We are able to offer group therapy sessions to eligible clients with stroke or brain injury.

Each session runs for approximately 90 mins, and will cater for approximately two clients. Sessions will be held in an agreed upon meeting location.

Group therapy will be charged at $193.99 per session ($145.49 per session, plus travel fee of $48.50).

For NDIS PLAN-MANAGED CLIENTS – Pricing for group sessions for NDIS clients has been adjusted in line with the updated NDIA pricing limits (2025-26). Group therapy for NDIS clients will be charged at $169.74 per session ($145.49 per session, plus travel fee of $24.25. Return travel may also be charged if applicable).

Telehealth

Telehealth appointments can be arranged at no additional cost.

Cancellation Policy

The Speech Guy & Co. maintains the right to charge a cancellation fee of 90% of the above rate if a booked session is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice. The travel cost may also be charged.

Quotes for services can also be provided upon request.

Rebates & Funding

We are able to accept the following rebate or funding programs:

  • Medicare – Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – Plan and self-managed clients
  • Private Health Funds
  • Home Care Packages
  • WorkCover Queensland
  • National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ)

Please note that gap payments may apply (i.e. for CDMP and Private Health Funds).
